Néhány héttel ezelőtt láttuk őket a tévében, és azonnal felvettük velük a kapcsolatot. Csodálatos dolgokra képesek, és ma eljöttek hozzánk megnézni, mire van nekünk szükségünk az ő csodálatos dolgaikból.
A Tinapard program azon dolgozik, hogy a mozgássérülteknek sorozatban gyártott segédeszközöket személyre szabja – vagyis használhatóvá tegye. Aki látott már mozgássérültet magyar segédeszközökkel bajlódni, az tudja, hogy ez milyen óriási dolog.
Arról most nem mesélek, hogy mi mindent csinál a Tinapard, erre ott van a honlapjuk – arról mesélek, hogy mit fognak csinálni nekünk. Ha el tudom sorolni azt a sokféle átalakítást, amit megbeszéltünk, négy kocsi számára.
Két teljesen új ülés, egyedileg kialakítva, mérték után, mint a szabónál. Kárpitozva. Két kifordítható vezérlő, most hadd ne magyarázzam el, hogy ez mire jó. Két különböző fejtámla. Két speciális lábtartó. Egy harmadik lábtartó technikai problémák miatt elhalasztva, de számon tartva. Egy motoros háttámla speciális kiegészítővel. Egy pár speciális oldallemez. Változtatások két pár hátsó billenőkeréken. Lehet, hogy ezt-azt ki is felejtettem, de minden föl van írva.
Bart Verhoer, a Tinapard szakavatott tervezője röptében találta ki számunkra a speciális, személyre szabott megoldásokat. Centimétereket és fokokat mért, vázlatokat rajzolt, elképzeléseket magyarázott. Mi mindent tudunk a tolókocsikról – ő tudja a többit. Van egy varázsszava: kényelmes. Ezt a szót még soha nem használtuk tolókocsikkal kapcsolatban. Mi elmondjuk a problémát; ő bólogat, felvázol valamit, leír néhány sort hollandul, és egy teljesen új tolókocsi mászik elő a papírról.
Életemben nem beszéltem ennyit angolul; ami azt illeti, soha nem beszéltem néhány mondatnál többet angolul. De Bart megértett, és én is megértettem őt; amikor mégsem, akkor ott volt dr. Gadó Pál, az alapítvány vezetője, aki kisegített minket.
A tervek végrehajtása ezután kezdődik; mindenről be fogunk számolni. És igyekszünk terjeszteni a Tinapard hírét, amerre csak lehet. Kétségbeejtő, hogy mekkora szükség lenne rájuk és mennyire nem tudnak róluk.
We saw them in the TV some weeks ago, and we’ve taken the contact with them immediately. They’re able for wonderful things, and today they’ve came to us to watch what would we need from their wonderful things.
The program Tinapard is working on customize the helper tools created for the disabled in serial – that is, to make them usable. Who saw a disabled person to be troubled with Hungarian helper tools, knows how great this is.
Now I won’t talk about what is Tinapard doing, home page is for that – I’ll tell what are they going to make for us. If I can list all the alterations we’ve discussed, for four chairs.
Two wholly new seats, uniquely designed, after measures, like at the taylor’s. Upholstered. Two joysticks turnable out, now let me not to explain why is this good for. Two different headrests. Two special footrests. A third one delayed for technical problems, but kept count of. A motorized backrest with a special extension. A pair of special side supports. Alterations on two pairs of rear support wheels. Maybe I forgot some items, but everything is registered.
Bart Verhoer, practised designer of Tinapard invented the special, personally tailored solutions for us on the fly. He measured centimeters and degrees, drew sketches, explained conceptions. We know everything about wheelchairs – he knows the rest. He has a magic word: comfortable. We didn’t ever use this word related to wheelchairs. We explain the problem; he nods, draws a sketch, writes some lines in Dutch, and a totally new wheelchais crawls out from the paper.
Never in my life I have talked so much in English; that is, I never talked more than some phrases. But Bart understood me, and I understood him, too; when we couldn’t, there was dr. Pál Gadó, the leader of the foundation, helping us out.
The execution of the plans will follow after; we’ll report everything. And we’ll try to distribute the fame of Tinapard where possible. It’s hopeless how greatly they would be needed and how less they’re known.
